Meet Eunice

Meet Eunice. She is a creative, energetic and outgoing person. A foodie at heart and very adventurous when it comes to trying new things. Her schedule is packed with going to different restaurants, hosting dinner parties, practicing hot yoga and attending spinning classes. She loves building and creating new things and used to make top dollar for reselling LEGO sets, as a side hustle. Let’s hear more from her.

 

 

I’m Eunice. Born and raised in Malaysia. 5 years ago I moved to Amsterdam, to do my bachelor’s in Politics, Psychology, Law & Economics (PPLE) and then my master’s in Political Economy. I know, it’s not tech related but I was always analytical minded. On top of that, I like to solve problems. I got into the field of data and technology as I was interested in how to use data and tech to leverage decision making.

 

I used to work for an e-commerce and performance marketing agency. I was a Data and Technology Consultant with a broad function, and it was where I first gained experience as an implementation consultant for Salesforce. Salesforce immediately struck me as more interesting as it allowed me to engage more with data management and strategy. I am eager to learn more and develop further in this aspect of the platform.

 

I will be working as a Salesforce Consultant, specifically for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I have previously worked with Salesforce Datorama with a focus on data management, analytics and reporting. But I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to Appsolutely joins Valtech and applying it to working with the Salesforce Customer Data Platform.

 

I was approached by a recruiter, and I went into the interview with no expectations. But there was an instant click. The interview didn’t feel like an interview, rather a good, genuine conversation. I knew right away that they possess lots of knowledge and experience, and I can learn a lot from them. To be honest, it was a no brainer.

 

 

The common denominator is the act of creating things, both in my personal and professional life. Personally, I love food and I love eating food. I like making my food from scratch, not the small Avant Garde dishes – but the ones that can feed your souls. Give me a good burger, I will devour it within a second. But I also like to build things. Did you know there is a black-market trade for LEGO? Well, this is my go-to story to tell at parties. When I was sixteen, I used to scour the internet looking for sets that were high in demand. I would buy them all and sell them for a much higher price on eBay. I was doing it so much that at one point the IP-address back home got blocked from the LEGO-website. This is my dark side, but it’s still harmless and funny, I think. I’m currently waiting for the Van Gogh, Starry Nights LEGO set, but this one I am not going to sell!

 

My friends would probably describe me as funny and outgoing. I am also a very busy person; I don’t like to sit still and do nothing. I get soaked up in my cooking projects, but I also do hot yoga and like pushing myself during spinning classes. 

 

I have lived here for 5 years, so it’s safe to say that I like it. But seriously I really enjoy the country and the people. I even appreciate the directness of the Dutch. The only thing I don’t like is the food. Sorry. But where are the spices? Did you leave them on the ship? But all jokes aside, I really enjoy my time here, going to restaurants or throwing the occasional dinner party for my friends. 

 

Wow. That’s a difficult question actually. Foremost, to finish my own personal work and communicate with my clients. Being able to share compliments with my team. Celebrate our achievements and have a good chat. 

 

I’m excited to meet new people and make new connections. I’m looking forward to solving new problems and learning new things. I enjoy working and being challenged.
